STORIES
Currently, there are five entries planned for the series, each one focusing on a different leg of Elle's travels. Perspectives will shift as the citizens of the Commonwealth observe her progress.
USED BOOKS AND GUNS
Equipment, ammo, medical supplies, food, clean water, reputation, and connections — All requirements for a mercenary to survive the wasteland. The best place for someone to build up such a life is none other than Goodneighbor. But the Commonwealth's den of outcasts and sin earns its renown honestly, and there's always machinations rumbling just underfoot. Is it possible to operate out of Goodneighbor without falling prey to the greedy hands grasping for power?
Or: There's a new mercenary in town — But when is there not? Part of Goodneighbor's charm is the way it wears crime and violence on its sleeve, but its unusual status quo is always under threat from the politics simmering in plain sight.
Featuring: Elle Days, Edward Deegan, R.J. MacCready, the Memory Den

PRESERVATION
After seeing the quality of her work firsthand, Edward Deegan decides to hire Elle on as an official member of his mercenary roster. Jack Cabot likes to meet everyone who works for him, but this time, he's inviting more than a new employee into his home. Meanwhile, deep in Parson's basement, Lorenzo Cabot bides his time for the opportune moment to seize his freedom...
Or: An expansion of the Cabot House questline, complete with journal entries, new adventures, and character exploration.
Featuring: Elle Days, Edward Deegan, Jack Cabot, Emogene Cabot

LET THE MOSS GATHER
Nick Valentine has taken on a new case. One mercenary is seeking another, and both are shrouded in their own mysteries. If he has any hope of clearing the fog, he's going to need help... and a Geiger counter. Meanwhile, R.J. MacCready has finally found himself a partner he thinks he might be able to rely on — Only to realize he doesn't actually know anything about her at all. Can he rely on her to help him reach Duncan's cure? How much can he trust someone who keeps her heart clutched so close to her chest?
Or: Fallout 4's main quest kicks in, along with MacCready's affinity quests. How much of the journey is preordained? Can one person change the course of the Commonwealth?
Wanting to share this / Beautifully lonely / Only I saw it / Only I held it / Stop this stone rolling / Let the moss gather — An Laoigh by David Tollick

OLD WAYS / NEW DOORS
Elle has joined the Railroad, and she embraces her duties readily — Or maybe it's more accurate to say she throws herself into them. While her habit of being reckless with her own safety earns the scorn of Doctor Carrington, Deacon can't say he's surprised. He's watched her from afar since the beginning, after all. But now he gets to watch her in action up close and personal, and "personal" is a little on the nose — He's discovering similarities between them that cut right to the bone. She needs guidance, and he vouched for her, but Deacon needs to proceed carefully, or else he risks getting too close... Or worse, revealing too much of himself — You know, those things he avoids at all costs.
Meanwhile, there's a new raider gang rising north of Boston that's endangering package routes, caravan and Railroad alike. Elle and Deacon are assigned to investigate, but the secrets they uncover belong to more than just the raiders.

CAST
FROM MALA
Welcome to my decade-long daydream story hopefully turned into reality soon. Elle has been near and dear to my heart since... well. Pretty much since Fallout: New Vegas came out, and I'm excited to introduce her to the wider world. I hope everyone loves her even just a fraction of how much I do.
My goal with this series is to expand some of my favorite stories in Fallout 4, as well as explore some alternate ways the main quest could've gone. If you're unfamiliar with the Fallout fic scene, this kind of story is basically a genre unto itself — Retelling the game through a customized lens, if you will. I can't promise any romantic ships aside from one in Old World / New Doors (and I won't blab here, it's a secret, but IYKYK) — but there's going to be a LOT of found family and queerplatonic relationships. Any other romantic ships that pop up are going to be a surprise to both me and you.
I gotta do a big shout-out to Rafe and Kite for being buckled into this particular ride for all these years. I have definitely been inspired to push these ideas into actual stories by other fanfiction I've read over the years (special hollers to Katrinajg, Owlehh, all the folks at the Nuclear Family server), but I wouldn't have made it this far without y'all. Here's to getting this thing written!
